PS I finished the book last night, and it left me deeply disturbed – right now I’m not even sure I want to know about the interview, as I almost feel cheated by the author. I should have probably put the book down when it became (to me) an escalation of gratuitous and grotesque cruelty, but I liked the writing and the narrator so much, and I never anticipated so much inhumanity.
Don’t you know! It seems so hard to find these few moments for oneself and for ones partner when children are added to the equation. So happy you were able to find time for each other.
